Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy,

and the load I will put on you is light.

—MATTHEW 11:28–30

For Jesus.

For my beloved Billy.

For my husband, Rod, my angel and soulmate: thank you for all that you are and have been. Beau and I are so incredibly lucky to have you in our lives and couldn’t be more grateful for all you have done for us. I love our life together and look forward to continuing our spiritual path in this life. I’ll love you for eternity.

For my son, Beau: You are my inspiration, and I am so proud of the young man you have become. I look forward to watching and cheering you on as your journey unfolds. Always know that I am so glad you are my son! Thank you for being you. My love for you is eternal.

"Wendy, I got your book yesterday and couldn't put it down. It touched my heart and soul since we grew up with your Mom. Just down the gravel road on E. I can certainly relate to some of your growing up years. It can take its toll. I remember hugging you when Billy died and feeling your little body shaking. My heart broke for you!! Thanks for writing this beautiful book. It will help so many who are going thru the same heartache. Loved your mom always and Courtney!! Stay strong and may our loving father bless you, Beau and your husband always."  My love💝
